文型：〜ことにする

“〜すると決める”

自分の意志で 〜する、〜しないと決めたことを言う時に使う。

英文：

decide to do

Used to say that you have decided to do or not to do something of your own

volition.

V（辞書形 / ナイ形）+ことにする

少し硬い表現に「〜こととする」という表現もある。自分の意志に関係なく決まったことを言う場合は「〜ことになる」を使う。

明日から、毎日１０分ジョギングをする ことにしました 。

I’ve decided to start jogging for 10 minutes every day from tomorrow.

次の夏休みは国へ帰る ことにします 。

I’ll go back to my country during the next summer vacation.

頭が痛いので、今日は早く寝る ことにします 。
