〜しないで

「 〜ないで

」と同じ意味だが、「〜ずに」の方が少し硬い。

英文：

“without doing “

It means the same as “～ないで,” but “～ずに” is a little more formal style.

V(ない形) ない + ずに（例）行かない → 行かずに飲まない → 飲まずに※「する」は「せずに」となる。

今朝、朝ごはんを食 べずに 学校に来ました。

This morning, I came to school without eating breakfast.

傘を 持たずに 、出かけてしまった。

I went out without an umbrella.

私は普段、コーヒーに砂糖を 入れずに 飲みます。

I usually drink my coffee without sugar in it.

宿題を せずに 学校に行ったら先生に怒られました。

I went to school without doing my homework, and my teacher got angry with me.

昨日、お風呂に入 らずに 寝てしまった。

I fell asleep without taking a bath last night.

友達にもらった本を 読まずに 売ってしまった。

I sold the book that my friend gave me without reading it.

明日は試験なので、今晩は 寝ないで 勉強します。
